Build, Code & Create This Winter! ❄️🤖
Join Code Kids for Winter Inventors & Coding Adventures this Term 2! From building and programming LEGO robots to creating magical Minecraft winter worlds, children will tackle exciting new challenges, grow their coding skills and enjoy festive fun along the way.
Returning coders can build on their skills, while new starters are warmly welcomed. Bring your imagination; we’ll bring the technology!
Minecraft Coding:
Don’t just let your children play Minecraft, get them coding with it! In this weekly class, the students will be taught to code using Minecraft, in a block-based programming language (Microsoft MakeCode).
Lego Robotics:
Students will build & program LEGO robots. They will learn to code as well. In addition to the basics of robotics, learn key engineering principles such as force and motion, gear ratios and aerodynamics. You will also develop your structural design skills. Learn about motors and sensors and their uses as well as programming them to make them do what you command!

- Lego Robotics Club: 5-13 yr
- Minecraft Coding Club: 7-13 yr
No prior coding experience necessary.
Children use the Lego WeDo 2.0 and Lego Mindstorms EV3 to design robots to solve real world problems. They learn to code their robots in interactive challenges. In addition to the basics of robotics, children learn key engineering principles such as force and motion, gear ratios and aerodynamics.
Make games rather than play them using your own ideas! Become game developers for a day using a physical and virtual platform for creating video games in the classroom. When students build games, they become the writers, artists, designers, and developers of their own interactive stories.
Learn how to code in Java with Minecraft in a highly interactive learning environment!

This course is designed for late primary to secondary aged students who are looking to learn to code using a proper “grown-up” programming language.
