In this tech camp (individual days can also be booked), children will learn about robotics and coding through the use of various robots to grasp key programming and engineering concepts in a fun learning environment.

Age Requirement: 7+

No prior coding experience necessary. If your child has been to one of these workshops before, then their learning will be extended further and they will not have to repeat the same content as before.

Minecraft Coding

This course is designed for primary aged students who are looking to learn to code the games that they play every day. Minecraft makes coding fun yet meaningful as players learn and understand coding concepts that they bring to life in the game!

The participant can use a drag & drop interface which is highly intuitive, but the blocks also show the actual java code too. Coding concepts like variables, if/then/else statements and constructors will be learnt. More advanced participants can switch any time from block-based drag-and-drop code to Javascript.

The children can play with their creations and show their friends at the end of the session on a secure server that only the course participants on the day will have access to:
Code in Minecraft using a Java editor
Increase complexity with Conditions and Variables
Learn about Boolean and Loops
Test and debug using logic and systematic reasoning
Connect your world and Play in Minecraft

Video Game Arcade coding

Our Game design and coding course teaches you how to think like a professional game creator. Children learn to create arcade-style 2-D games that they can then publish and play on a computer or any other mobile device, including a mini-console. We also cover techniques such as graphic design, adding game behaviours, creating game maps, and using asset packs.

AR/VR Coding

Content creation and coding for a highly interactive virtual reality 3-D world. Learn to build interactions with block-based coding or advanced scripting.

Our students use computer aided design (CAD) to create their 3-D worlds. They then use visual block-based and intuitive programming language to code interactions between the various elements of their virtual reality world and the end user of their product.

More advanced coders can have:
fun coding scripts to add interactions through JavaScript
Use code to experiment with physics!
Create simulations of physical phenomena and visualize abstract scientific concepts in 3D or in VR.

Spies and Secret Codes (Cyber)

Ever wondered how spies send secret messages? In this exciting new session, we will learn about cryptography, and how cryptography can hide the real message spies want to send. Will learn how to break secret codes and try to make even more ‘secret-er’ codes!

Cryptography is the science of making data and text secure by encrypting and decrypting data. Encryption is very important in internet security and is used to hide text and make it look like gibberish that is impossible to read. The gibberish can only be read after it is decrypted.

Learn to crack the code! Decipher the amazing world of clues and codes to be a super sleuth – follow in the footsteps of Enola Holmes and her famous brother Sherlock. In this session of the club, students will explore cryptography through games and informal activities that involve secret messages.
